COLLECTOR STORIES

You should experience his work

I loved all of Kevin's work that I saw but bought my favorite, Crimson Moon. It's extraordinary! The detail, dimension, depth and color usage is absolutely sublime. His work is very visceral to me and is an experience, not just a visual piece.

BEHIND THE ART

The Artist Behind the Light

I am a storyteller. As a child, I was drawn to the worlds of Pinocchio, The Little Mermaid, and The Lion King—not only their stories, but also their colors, their light, and the feeling of stepping somewhere imagined.

My path took me into science. For twenty years, I studied, researched, and trained, eventually earning two PhDs. Those years taught me patience, discipline, and how to look closely.

“I had not lost those years. I had been gathering them.”

Today, my artwork brings those parts of my life together: the curiosity of a child, the patience of a researcher, and a love of light, memory, and imagination.

Curiosity shapes the vision. Imagination gives it life.

I’m drawn to the quiet relationship between observation and feeling—the way light transforms an ordinary scene, and how color can make a place feel like a memory. My work brings that curiosity together with the freedom to imagine something new.

Light

The atmosphere that changes how a moment feels.

Color

A language for warmth, contrast, and emotion.

Imagination

The space where familiar places become personal worlds.

HELPFUL DETAILS

A Few Things Worth Knowing

Thoughtful answers to help you choose your artwork with confidence.

01What is the difference between a fine-art print and canvas?

Fine-art prints offer a refined paper finish and are a lovely choice if you plan to frame the artwork yourself. Canvas has a more dimensional, gallery-inspired presentation. Available formats vary by artwork, so check the options on its product page.

02How do I choose the right artwork size?

Start by measuring your wall and considering the furniture around it. Check the dimensions offered on the artwork's product page before ordering. If you're between sizes or formats, you can ask Kevin for personal guidance.

03Where is free shipping available?

Free shipping is offered for eligible orders to the United States, Canada, eligible European destinations, and Australia. Availability depends on the destination and is confirmed at checkout; international duties or import fees may apply. Read the shipping policy.

04Can I use WELCOME10 on my order?

Use WELCOME10 for 10% off eligible orders, with free shipping available to the United States, Canada, eligible European destinations, and Australia. Enter the code at checkout; destination eligibility and the final shipping charge are confirmed there.

05How long will my artwork take to arrive?

Physical prints are made to order. The published policy lists 2–5 business days for processing, with estimated total delivery of 3–8 business days in the continental United States and 10–30 business days for Canada, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Some US regions can take longer. These are estimates, not guaranteed arrival dates; tracking is sent after dispatch. View delivery details.

06What if my artwork arrives damaged?

Please contact kevin@artacademi.com within 7 days of delivery. Include your order number, a brief description, and clear photos of the artwork and packaging. Art Academi's published policy provides a replacement or refund for qualifying damaged, defective, or incorrect orders. Read the full refund and return policy.

07Can I return or exchange an artwork if I change my mind?

Each physical print is custom-made. The published policy generally provides store credit equal to 65% of the original order value for eligible change-of-mind returns requested within 30 days; condition and return-shipping requirements apply. Promotional items and certain other products have exclusions, and EU rights may differ. Please review the full return policy before ordering.

08Can Kevin help me choose a piece?

Absolutely. Whether you're choosing between artworks, selecting a size, or deciding on paper versus canvas, Kevin welcomes your questions. Email Kevin for personal help.

Still deciding? A little personal guidance can make all the difference.
